Crazy English founder Li Yang has converted to Buddhism.
疯狂英语的创始人李阳皈依了佛门。

He's become the disciple(弟子) of Shi Yongxin, who's the current abbot(方丈) of the Shaolin Temple(少林寺).

Li Yang is well known(出名) for creating the idea of Crazy English(疯狂英语) in the 90's, a different approach(方法) to learning the language(学语言).

By shouting out(大声喊出来) sentences in English, he believes it help Chinese learners overcome(克服) their shyness(害羞).

His name has most recently been associated with(与...联系) domestic violence(家暴) though, in 2013 he was in the news for allegedly beating his American born wife(妻子), who he later divorced(离婚).

After conversion(皈依), Li will live the life of a monk(和尚). But he will also provide English language training(英语培训) to the Shaolin monks.

Intro: Shaolin Monastery or Shaolin Temple is a Chán Buddhist temple on Mount Song, near Dengfeng, Zhengzhou, Henan province, China. Founded in the fifth century, the monastery is long famous for its association with Chinese martial arts and particularly with Shaolin Kung Fu, and it is the best known Mahayana Buddhist monastery to the Western world.

The 少 (shào) in "少林" refers to Shaoshi Mountain (少室山), one of the seven mountains forming the Songshan mountain range; it is on this mountain the Temple is situated. The character 林 (lín) means "forest". The character 寺 (sì) means "monastery/temple".
