The story

Harvey has a conversation with Lian and Lok. He finds out that Lok shares his love of freshwater fishing and he arranges to call them at their hotel. Victoria returns having searched high and low for Lian and Lok’s stall. When Harvey nonchalantly introduces her to his new friends, she starts to feel faint.

Here are the models for showing agreement.
Remember that auxiliary verbs (can, do, will, am etc) must match.

Expression – “had better”
表示法－“had better”

In the expression “had better”, the word better is not used in its comparative form. “Had better” is the same as saying “should”.
在固定词组“had better”里的生词better并没有比较的意思，“had better”其实就是“应该” 的意思。
Lian says “We’d better see the rest of the exhibition”. (We had better see the rest of the exhibition) she, means “We should see the rest of the exhibition”. Other examples:

在这一课里，丽安说“We’d better see the rest of the exhibition” 她的意思是“我们应该去看看其他的展台”。
They’d better leave before it starts to rain.
他们应该在下雨之前出发。
I’d better call them before the weekend.
我应该在周末之前给他们打电话。
