if there are places you’ve been wanting to go, go now because they might not be around for much longer.

如果你有想去的地方，现在就出发吧，因为那些地方可能不会存在太久了。

venice, renowned for its beautiful architecture, canals and bridges, has long been synonymous with romance. however, with a staggering number of floods every year, the italian city is slowly sinking and may have a 70-year expiration date. likewise, the maldives, also a very popular honeymoon destination, is struggling to defend itself against rising sea levels. sitting at just 90 cm above sea level, the country could be completely submerged by 2080. another low-lying place that is in danger is the dead sea. thanks to growing populations and increased agricultural needs, the world’s saltiest water body could dry up within 25 years.

威尼斯以其美丽的建筑、运河和桥樑闻名，长久以来都是浪漫的同义词。然而，每年大量的洪水，这座义大利城市渐渐地沉入水中，而且有可能只剩下70年的寿命。同样的，也是个非常热门的蜜月地点马尔地夫，它正奋斗著要保卫自己不受上升的海平面侵袭。仅坐落於海平面上90公分，这个国家可能将完全在2080年前被淹没。另外一个地势低而陷入危险的地区是死海。由於人口上升还有农业需求增加，这世上的最咸水体可能会在25年内乾涸。

in addition, several magnificent structures are also at risk of destruction. the pyramids of giza, one of the original seven wonders of the ancient world, has become endangered due to pollution, camel dung and the crowds. similarly, the taj mahal, which took 21 years to build, may collapse within 5 years if no action is taken to fix its rotting foundations.

此外，数个宏伟的建筑也陷入毁朽的风险之中。原本的古代世界七大奇蹟之一吉萨金字塔，已经因為污染、骆驼粪便和人群的关系而陷入毁坏的危机。同样地，泰姬玛哈陵耗费21年建造，若是没採取任何行动来修復腐坏地基的话，可能就会在五年内倒塌。
