david, who is from canada, recently started working in taiwan. however, he was in such a rush to get to work a few days ago that he parked his car on a yellow line and as a result, received a parking ticket from the police. today, he told megan, his co-worker, what happened.

加拿大籍的david最近在台湾开始工作，但几天前因為赶上班把车子停在黄线，结果被警察开了张罚单。今天他告诉同事megan这件事。

david: oh no! i received a parking ticket.

david：天呀！我竟然收到一张罚单。

megan: have you not received one before? let me take a look.

megan：你以前没收过吗？我看看。

david: i only just bought a car in taiwan not so long ago.

david：我才在台湾刚买车没多久哩！

megan: the ticket is for illegal parking. hang on, where was this photo taken?

megan：你这张是违规停车。等等，看照片这是在？

david: just on the street outside our building!

david：就在我们公司楼下啦！

megan: geez…talk about bad luck! the police rarely come here to check vehicles for illegal parking!

megan：你也真够倒楣的！我们这平时狠少警察来开单的说。

david: it’s probably because i left my car there for too long. i came upstairs to clock in and then completely forgot to go back downstairs to move it.

david：可能是我停太久了吧？我上来打完卡后，就忘了找时间下去移车。

megan: you’ve been fined nts900.

megan：你这张要罚900元。

david: it’s not the fine i’m worried about. i have no idea where i should go to pay the ticket!

david：罚钱还好，但我得到哪去缴罚款呀？

megan: it can be paid at any convenience store!

megan：便利商店就可以缴了呀！

david: really?

david：真的假的？

megan: yeah! convenience stores like 7-eleven and familymart all provide ticket payment services.

megan：真的呀！不管是7-11还是全家等等，都可以缴。

david: that’s convenient!

david：那还真是方便呀！

megan: you can also pay your credit card, water and electricity bills at the convenience stores in taiwan. they really do live up to their name!

megan：台湾的便利商店还可以缴信用卡费、水电费等，狠方便的啦！

david: good. i’ll go pay the ticket during lunch break then.

david：那好！我中午吃饭时间就去缴。

megan: good boy!

megan：乖小孩！
