 basic english – ordering food through room service

基础英语──住房叫餐

grace is in los angeles on a business trip because of an urgent request she received from a client. after checking into a hotel late at night, she started feeling hungry, so she decided to order something to eat.

grace因客户的要求临时要出差到洛杉机，深夜入住进一家饭店，肚子突然饿了起来，她决定叫点东西吃。

receptionist: room service, how can i help you?

柜台人员：客房服务您好！请问有什么可以为您服务的呢？

grace: i was wondering if i can still order food so late at night.

grace：不晓得这么晚还有餐点可以吃吗？

receptionist: yes, but i’m afraid we only offer light meal options at this time of day.

柜台人员：这个时候我们只有提供简餐的服务。

grace: so what light meal options can i choose from?

grace：那有哪些简餐呢？

receptionist: we have things like burgers, sandwiches, waffles, fruit salad and fries.

柜台人员：我们有汉堡、三明治、松饼、水果沙拉、薯条之类的餐点。

grace: i’ll get a burger then.

grace：那我想点一份汉堡。

receptionist: no problem. would you like one layer of ground beef or two?

柜台人员：好的，请问要双层牛肉还是单层的呢？

grace: two, please.

grace：我要双层的。

receptionist: would you like us to add some cheese to the burger as well?

柜台人员：要加起司吗？

grace: sure!

grace：好呀！

receptionist: and would you like any drinks to go with the burger?

柜台人员：那饮料需要吗？

grace: i’ll have a glass of milk then.

grace：给我一杯牛奶好了。

receptionist: certainly. by the way, all of our burger meals come with fries on the side. would you like anything else?

柜台人员：好的，补充一下，我们汉堡餐点都有附薯条一份。请问还有其它需要吗？

grace: no, that’s all.

grace：这样就可以了。

receptionist: all right, your meal will arrive in about 20 minutes and it will be billed to your room.

柜台人员：那餐点二十分鐘左右送到，款项会合併到您的帐单里。

grace: okay, thank you.

grace：谢谢你。
