生活英语──安排参访会议

grace has arranged to take her clients on a factory tour tomorrow. since her clients will be bringing a senior executive who has a critical role in the company’s decision-making, she has decided to call her client, linda, to confirm tomorrow’s schedule and make sure everything goes smoothly.

grace明天需要跟她的客户安排工厂的参访会议。由於这次客户带了非常重要的决策主管来，所以她特别慎重地打电话与客户linda确认明天的行程，并确保每件事项都能顺利进行。

grace: could i please speak to linda, please?

grace：请找linda。

linda: this is she.

linda：我就是。

grace: linda, it’s grace here. seeing as tomorrow’s meeting is very important, i want to go over tomorrow’s schedule again with you. is that okay?

grace：linda，我是grace。因為明天的会议很重要，我想再跟你确认一下行程可以吗？

linda: sure. let me just get the schedule. hang on a second…got it.

linda：没问题。我拿一下行程表，等我一下。好了。

grace: my assistant will pick you guys up from the airport tomorrow morning at 8:30. i’ll get him to hold a sign and wait at the exit to the right of the terminal 2 arrival area.

grace：明天上午八点半，我的助手会去机场接你们。我会请他拿著牌子站在二航厦的入境右边出口。

linda: all right.

linda：好的。

grace: you should be able to arrive at our headquarters in hsinchu at around 9:30 in the morning. our general manager and i will be at the door to greet you. at around 9:40 i will give a presentation on our company’s production and quality control. it should take about 20 minutes. after that i’ll give you guys a tour of our factory. our plant manager will join us as well.

grace：大约早上九点半就可以到我们新竹的总公司，到时我与我们的总经理会在门口迎接你们。之后九点四十分我会有一个公司的生产跟品管的简报会议，大约二十分钟，之后就带你们参观工厂，到时我们厂长也会加入。

linda: okay, and after that?

linda：好的，那接下来呢？

grace: after the tour, we’ll have a meeting to negotiate the price part of the deal. it should take about an hour. the staff from our legal department will also be there.

grace：参观完我们工厂后，十一点我们会有这次合约的议价会议，时间我抓一个小时，到时我们的法务也会参加。

linda: okay, but what if the meeting finishes early or goes over time?

linda：好，只是如果会议提早结束或超过怎么办？

grace: don’t worry. if it finishes early, we’ll take you to the restaurant we’ve booked. i’ll join you guys for lunch as well. if the meeting runs over time, we’ll prepare a light lunch for you guys and we can go to the restaurant afterwards.

grace：别担心，如果提早的话，我们会载你们直接去已订好的餐厅用餐，到时我会与你们一起用餐，如果会议超过时间，我们会準备简餐，等会议结束后再看是否要再去餐厅。

linda: it looks like we’re all set for
