Chinese woman are considered to be distinctive: tender, considerate, traditional and faithful; and they are quite different from western girls. Many guys are interested in Chinese girls, but they are unsure of how to deal with the cultural differences. Here are some tips on how to date a Chinese woman.

Dinner is a good choice when meeting her the first time. Choose a nice but not too expensive place. Bars are usually not a good place for a first date with a Chinese woman and many Chinese women don't drink (or wouldn't on the first date). Remember that going Dutch isn't the norm in China, so be a gentleman and grab the bill.
Choose appropriate conversation topics. Don't ask too sensitive or sexual topics, as people in China are often more conservative than in other countries. Your burning questions about politics or private matters should be saved for the second or third date.

But generally, questions about work, hobbies, etc are perfect starters. Also note that in China family often comes first, and most people are happy to discuss their families.

Chinese people love jokes, but do note that Chinese humor is often lost on westerners and vice versa. Subtle irony might not translate well.
Before you are ready to build up a relationship with a Chinese girl, it's better to well-equipped yourself with some knowledge of Chinese culture and language. You can use some simple Chinese sentences to express your love to your Chinese lady. For example:

我爱你(wǒ ài nǐ ) I love you.
我想和你在一起(wǒ xiǎng hé nǐ zài yī qǐ ) I want to be with you.
你能做我女朋友吗(nǐ néng zuò wǒ nǚ péng yǒu ma ) Would you be my girlfriend?

Paying attention to the cultural differences will help you immeasurably to find a Chinese girlfriend.

(1) You guys may just want date and have a bit of fun, but when dating a Chinese girl, you should consider that most women date with the idea of marriage in the back of their head. But in a country with half a billion women, there are all kinds out there. So be honest about your intentions and you'll be better able to find someone who's looking for the same thing as you.

(2) Note that Chinese women have different boundaries than western women. Discuss clearly your relationships with other women (work, friends, exes), and make sure that you’re comfortable. Loyalty takes time to prove, so you’ll need to show your commitment over the long haul. Loyalty is also a trait highly regarded in China.

(3) Show respect to her Family. Family ties are highly valued in China. In a way, when you date a Chinese girl, to some extent you're actually dating her family. Not trying to scare you off, but that's just a fact. Meeting the parents is often interpreted as a signal that the two of you will be married some date in the future. If marriage is a possibility for you, then you really want to make a good impression on the family.

(4) How to deal with controversial issues like religion, politics, sex, and so on? Many people in China are hesitant just to discuss sensitive issues, and a handful will be very outspoken about them. Keep in mind that some people just won’t want to talk about some topics. But they could be on the table later if you can communicate with your partner sensitively and with some awareness of the Chinese perspective. If you’re lucky enough to find love, then you hopefully have already realized this.
