职场会话──讨论投资计划书

dora is the chief operating officer of a listed company. lately, her company wants to invest in a software company, so she had a discussion with their general manager on their investment proposal today.

dora是一家上市公司的营运长，最近公司想要投资一家软体公司，她今天与该公司的总经理讨论投资计划书的内容。

dora: vivian, i need to talk to you about our investment proposal.

dora：vivian，关於我们的投资计划书，有些事想跟妳讨论一下。

vivian: what did you think about the one i gave you before?

vivian：你觉得我之前给你的那一份内容如何？

dora: well, most of it is okay, but i think the financial forecasting part could be improved.

dora：嗯，大致上都可以，但我觉得未来的财务预测那块还可以再加强一下。

vivian: could you be a bit more specific?

vivian：怎么说？

dora: like the pricing strategies for future products and growth trends, they seem to be too optimistic.

dora：像未来的产品订价策略跟成长趋势，似乎有太过乐观的情况。

vivian: my assessment is based on the benefits that could be generated from the merger of the two companies. i’ve also increased the marketing budget year by year. we should be able to achieve those results.

vivian：我是基於两家公司合併后所能创造出来的效益去做评估，另外我在行销预算上也有逐年增加，应该是有机会达到这样的成绩。

dora: then could you add more description to the part about marketing so that all those involved in the plan can understand it better?

dora：那你能否加强行销这部份的描述吗？好让参与这个计画的人更能了解。

vivian: sure.

vivian：好的。

dora: as for software and hardware costs, don’t you think they are too low?

dora：另外在软硬体设备的花费上，是否会过于保守？

vivian: with cloud services being quite common already, the cost estimates for facilities should be fairly realistic. if there are any other considerations, i believe a 10 percent increase should be enough.

vivian：目前云端服务已经十分普遍，在设备的採购成本上，我拟的应该是符合预期。如果还有其它考量，我想再增加10%应该就足够了。

dora: all right. one other thing, i don’t think i saw an organizational chart for the company in the plan.

dora：好。另外关於公司的组织架构图好像没有在里面。

vivian: i was going to talk to you about that. do you want me to do one based on the current workforce or future?

vivian：这部份也是我要跟你讨论的，是要以现有人力还是未来的人力来做呢？

dora: i think it’s better to do an estimate for the first year of the merger.

dora：我想至少合作后第一年来做预估比较好。

vivian: i see. is there anything else that needs to be modified?

vivian：那我了解了。还有其它地方吗？

dora: no, that will do for now. could you make those adjustments for me first so i can present the information to the board?

dora：我想目前这样应该就够了，那就麻烦你先把调整过后的东西给我，我好方便跟董事会报告。

vivian: of course.

vivian：没问题。
