A: Why are you wearing such ugly shoes?
你干嘛穿这么难看的鞋？
(nǐ ɡànmá chuān zhème nánkàn de xié?)

 

B: Ugly? It's called fashion! They are the most fashionable shoes!
难看？这叫时尚！这是最时尚的鞋子！
(nánkàn？zhè jiào shíshànɡ！zhè shì zuì shíshànɡ de xiézi!)

 

A: Admit it, they're hideous! Fashion doesn't mean lovely.
你就承认吧,它们丑死了！时髦不一定就好看。
(nǐ jiù chénɡrèn ba, tāmen chǒu sǐ le！shímáo bù yídìnɡ jiù hǎokàn.)

 

B: Fine. It looks like I should not blindly follow the fashion.
好吧。看来我不该瞎赶时髦。
