 basic english – getting chinese takeout

基础会话──叫中式外卖

debbie is from taiwan. she is currently studying at a university in canada. seeing that it is the weekend and she and her roommate, rita, both happen to be at home, debbie decided to order chinese takeout.

debbie是一名从台湾去加拿大就读的大学生，今天放假她与室友rita难得都没出门，debbie想要打电话叫中餐来吃。

restaurant staff: hello, chinese kitchen restaurant.

柜台：您好！这里是华厨餐厅。

debbie: hi, i want to order takeout.

debbie：我想要叫外卖！

restaurant staff: what would you like to order?

柜台：请问要点些什么呢？

debbie: i want two cantonese-style fried noodles, one kung pao chicken, one mapo tofu and one hakka stir-fry.

debbie：我要两份广东炒面，一份宫保鸡丁、一份麻婆豆腐、一份客家小炒。

restaurant staff: would you like some soup?

柜台：请问要汤吗？

debbie: i’ll get some hot and sour soup then.

debbie：一份酸辣汤好了。

restaurant staff: would you like anything else?

柜台：还有需要其它的吗？

debbie: i’ll get two bowls of rice as well.

debbie：我再点两碗白饭好了。

restaurant staff: sure, is that all?

柜台：好的！还有其它需要吗？

debbie: hang on, let me check. (turns her head) rita, what else do you want to eat?

debbie：我问一下。（转头）rita，妳还想吃什麼呢？

rita: i want stir-fried beef tenderloin with onions.

rita：我想要一份洋葱牛柳。

debbie: and one stir-fried beef tenderloin with onions.

debbie：再加一份洋葱牛柳。

restaurant staff: all right. your food will arrive in about 45 minutes, and it comes to s36.

柜台：好的。餐点大约45分鐘后送到。总共是36元。

debbie: okay, please hurry.

debbie：好的，那就麻烦儘快送到。

restaurant staff: no problem.

柜台：没问题。
