基础会话──餐厅预约取消

ruby’s friend got a promotion, and to celebrate, she booked a table at a fancy italian restaurant. unfortunately, something urgent came up at work, so she had to cancel the reservation.

ruby為了庆祝好友升迁，特别订了一家高级的义大利餐厅，想说好好庆祝一番，没想到临时有工作要忙，她只好打电话去餐厅退订。

waitress: good afternoon, onion italian restaurant.

服务员：午安！这里是洋葱义式餐厅。

ruby: hi, i called a few days ago to make a reservation, but something’s come up and i want to cancel it.

ruby：是这样的，我前几天有打电话来订位，可是因為临时有事，想要取消预约。

waitress: sure. when is the reservation for?

服务员：没问题，您是订哪一天几点的呢？

ruby: tomorrow night at 6:30pm. it’s for two.

ruby：我是订明天晚上六点半，原本订的是两位。

waitress: and what name is the reservation under?

服务员：请问登记的名字是？

ruby: ruby.

ruby：是ruby。

waitress: all right, i’ve cancelled it for you already. is there anything else i can help you with?

服务员：好的，那我就先帮您取消了。请问还有其它需要吗？

ruby: no, that’s all.

ruby：没有了，就这样。

waitress: okay. just to let you know, our 15th anniversary is on the 20th of this month. apart from a 10 percent discount, diners will also receive a free bottle of red wine that day.

服务员：好的。顺道跟您说一下，本月20号是本餐厅十五週年庆，来用餐的客人九折优待外，还另外赠送一瓶红葡萄酒。

ruby: really? can i still book a table for that day?

ruby：真的吗？那当天还有位子吗？

waitress: yes, right now there are still 3 tables left.

服务员：当天晚上目前还剩下三桌。

ruby: all right, i’ll check first, and if i need a table, i’ll call again later.

ruby：了解，那我先询问一下，如果需要我待会再拨电话过来。

waitress: no problem. i look forward to receiving your call again.

服务员：没问题，期待您再次来电。

ruby: bye!

ruby：拜拜！
