基础英文──留校察看

regina received a detention today for swearing and throwing things at a classmate in class. after school, she went to the detention room.

regina今天因為上课时对一个同学骂脏话、丢东西而被留校察看。放学后，她前往留校察看室。

regina: good evening, ma’am.

regina：您好。

teacher: come in, regina. the note here says that you were caught swearing and throwing things at one of your classmates. is that true?

老师：进来吧regina。这张单子写著你被抓到对一个同学骂脏话、丢东西。这是真的吗？

regina: yes, but jason was asking for it. he used my pen without asking for my permission first. and when i asked him to give it back, he refused and made faces at me.

regina：是真的，但是jason活该。他没先经过我同意就用我的笔。我叫他还给我的时候，他不肯还我，还对我扮鬼脸。

teacher: that’s no excuse. you know this kind of behavior is not allowed in this school.

老师：这不是藉口。你知道学校不容忍这样的行為。

regina: yes, i know. i’m sorry. it won’t happen again.

regina：我明白。我狠抱歉。我不会再犯这样的错了。

teacher: it’d better not. if something like this happens again, report the matter to your teacher. don’t swear or chuck things at others.

老师：最好是不要再犯了。如果类似的情形再次发生，跟妳的老师报告。不要骂脏话或是对别人丢东西。

regina: okay, i will.

regina：好的我会。

teacher: all right, go sit down and for the next hour, i want you to do this worksheet.

老师：好，去坐下，接下来的一个小时，我要妳写这张学习单。

regina: may i do my homework instead?

regina：我可以改做作业吗？

teacher: yes, you may.

老师：可以。
