(上班族英文) 休假规定更改通知

dear all:

各位同仁：

there are several slight changes to the company’s vacation policy that we would like you to be aware of.

公司的休假规定有些许更动，我们希望同仁能知晓。

first, notice of your intention to take a vacation must be given at least 6 weeks prior to your leave. this will enable staff to find someone qualified to cover your duties while absent without last-minute rush or confusion. detailed duty lists and/or schedules must be made prior to vacation if a temporary worker is needed to cover your responsibilities in order to ensure minimal misunderstandings and that all work is completed.

首先，想请假的人必须至少提前六週知会公司。这将能让同仁找到有能力的人来代理你不在时候的职务，而不会有拖到最后一刻的匆忙或是困惑。若是需要由临时人员代理你的职责的话，详细的职务表单或行程表必须在请假日之前做好，以确保误解减至最低、所有工作都能完成。

vacation will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis, with no more than three employees within the same department having vacation at the same time. this allows current employees to assist temporary workers with any potential problems and maintains department integrity and smooth operation. the sooner you book your time off, the better your chances are of receiving it.

休假将遵循先请先处理的原则，一个部门内不能同时有超过三位员工休假。这让现下的员工能够协助临时人员处理所有可能发生的问题，并维持部门完整和顺利营运。愈快预定好休假时间，成功请到假的机会愈高。

vacation time allotment is defined by length of employment, and only senior staff members receive ‘roll-over’ time in which vacation days can be saved and taken together the next year.

休假天数以进公司的时间长短决定，只有资深员工能够得到「累积年休」，这意指能够保留休假并跟隔年的休假一起使用。
