tina and her colleague, lily, went to an american restaurant for dinner after work on friday night. to her surprise, she ran into janet, a classmate of hers from high school.

tina跟她的同事lily於週五晚上下班后，一起到一家美式餐厅吃晚饭，没想到tina竟遇到多年不见的高中同学janet。

tina: janet! fancy running into you here!

tina：janet！真巧！

janet: oh my gosh! is it really you, tina? long time no see!

janet：天呀！tina，真的是你吗？好久不见！

tina: we haven’t seen each other since you transferred to another school in our senior year in high school! wow, you haven’t changed a bit!

tina：自从你高三转学后，我就没再遇见你了！妳怎么都没有变呀！

janet: hello? i’ve aged heaps. plus, i’m a mom now.

janet：拜托！我变老了好不好，而且还是一个孩子的妈了！

tina: no way! you’re married?

tina：不会吧？你结婚了！

janet: yeah, i got married 3 years ago in california. and i also have a one-year-old son.

janet：我三年前在加州结婚了，我的儿子也一岁了呢！

tina: time sure flies! so, what brings you here? i mean, shouldn’t you be in california?

tina：时间还过得真快！那妳怎会在这出现？我是说，妳应该也住在加州不是吗？

janet: yes, but my grandma is sick, so i’ve come back to see her. i’ll be staying here for a few days.

janet：我是住在加州了，但因為我的奶奶生病了，我特别回老家来探望她，顺道住个几天。

tina: i see. i’m sorry, where are my manners? janet, this is my colleague, lily. and lily, this is janet, my classmate from high school.

tina：原来是这样。我忘了介绍了，旁边这位是我的同事lily，这位是我高中老同学。

lily: hi, it’s nice to meet you!

lily：你好！很高兴见到妳！

janet: hi, it’s nice to meet you, too!

janet：你好，我也狠高兴认识妳！

tina: are you here by yourself?

tina：你今天一个人来这吃饭吗？

janet: yes, it’s been a long time since i last came back, so i thought i would come here and reminisce about the good old times.

janet：是呀！我很久没回来了，所以来回味一下昔日时光。

tina: hey, why don’t you sit with us?

tina：那跟我们一起坐吧！

janet: are you sure? i wouldn’t want to intrude.

janet：不会打搅到你们吧？

tina: not at all! lily is a good buddy of mine. she won’t mind!

tina：哪的话！lily可是我的麻吉，她才不会介意呢！

lily: yeah, the more the merrier!

lily：是呀！人越多越热闹嘛！

janet: all right then if you insist!

janet：好呀！那我就不客气囉！
