商务英语：新的合作机会

tina is the sales manager of an enterprise resource planning (erp) software company. while visiting a client, she met a dealer with whom she had a great chat. after tina returned to the office, she immediately told jasmine, the general manager, what happened.

tina是一家erp软体公司的业务经理，在一次的客户拜访中，遇到了一家经销商并与tina相谈甚欢，tina回公司后赶紧向总经理jasmine告知这个讯息。

tina: jasmine, i have good news for you.

tina：jasmine，我有个好消息想要跟你说。

jasmine: really? what is it?

jasmine：喔？怎样的好消息？

tina: while i was at a client’s place presenting my proposal, i met a software dealer. they told me they have just terminated their distribution agreement with our competitor and are seeking a replacement product.

tina：今天我去客户那提案时，遇到了一家做软体代理的经销商，他们说最近才刚刚跟我们的对手解除经销合约，目前正在寻找替代的產品呢！

jasmine: is that right? how did you introduce our company to them then?

jasmine：有这么巧的事？那你怎么跟他们介绍的？

tina: i told them that we had been developing erp software for years in the form of webpages, and that we also provide cloud rental services. after listening to me, they got very interested in our products and said they would like to learn more about them.

tina：我说我们研发erp系统已经好几年了，而且是以网页形式做為基础，也能提供云端的租赁服务，他们听了之后就狠感兴趣，希望找时间能多了解我们的產品。

jasmine: did you schedule an appointment with them?

jasmine：那你跟他们约时间了吗？

tina: yes, i’m going to visit them next tuesday at 10 in the morning.

tina：有的，我下週二的早上十点会去拜访他们。

jasmine: that does sound like good news. have you done any research on the company’s background?

jasmine：听起来真像个好消息，那你有他们公司的背景资讯吗？

tina: this is the business card they gave me. i googled them just now and it looks like they have been in the field for 7 to 8 years.

tina：这是他们的名片，我刚刚上网找他们的资料，看来他们经营erp代理应该有七八年的经验了。

jasmine: then how come they stopped selling their original product?

jasmine：那为何他们没有继续代理原本的產品呢？

tina: apparently, the software developer wanted to sell it themselves and conveniently took over their original clients.

tina：听说是原厂那里想要收回去自己做，顺便接收他们原本的客户。

jasmine: that’s not very ethical.

jasmine：这样是挺不厚道的。

tina: i know. that’s why they want to cooperate with us to get their clients back.

tina：是呀！所以他们希望透过跟我们的合作，把生意抢回来。

jasmine: all right. i’ll leave you to talk to them next week then. let me know if you need any help.

jasmine：好吧！下星期就麻烦妳去跟他们谈谈，有什麼需要帮忙的再跟我说。

tina: don’t worry2 i’ve got this in the bag. just wait for my good news!

tina：别担心，我手到擒来了啦！就等我的好消息吧！
