基础英语──买甜甜圈

doreen works at a design company in new york, america. after dinner today, she decided to buy some desserts to eat at home, so she went to a donut shop.

doreen在美国纽约的设计公司上班。今天下班她吃完晚饭后，想说买点甜点回家吃，她走到了甜甜圈专卖店。

shop assistant: hi, what would you like to buy today?

店员：你好！今天想买什么呢？

doreen: hang on, i’ll have a look first.

doreen：等等，我看一下。

shop assistant: the strawberry and cheese ones are fresh out of the kitchen!

店员：我们草莓跟起司口味的甜甜圈是刚出炉的喔！

doreen: they look nice. i’ll get a strawberry one then.

doreen：看起来好像满好吃的，那我选一个草莓的好了。

shop assistant: sure. anything else?

店员：没问题。还有呢？

doreen: i also want a chocolate chip one and a green tea one.

doreen：我巧克力脆片的一个，然后抹茶口味的一个。

shop assistant: okay, is that all?

店员：好的，还要其它的吗？

doreen: yes, that should be enough. i’m worried that they won’t taste as good if i don’t finish them and leave them out for too long.

doreen：嗯，这样就够了，我怕甜甜圈吃不完，放太久就没那么好吃了。

shop assistant: no problem. would you like anything to drink?

店员：没问题，那需要来杯饮料吗？

doreen: i’ll have a medium latte then.

doreen：我一杯中杯拿铁好了。

shop assistant: do you want it hot or iced?

店员：请问是热的还是冰的呢？

doreen: hot, please.

doreen：我要热的。

shop assistant: all right, that comes to s8.99.

店员：好的，那总共是8.99元。

doreen: can i pay by credit card?

doreen：我用信用卡可以吗？

shop assistant: of course. here you go. your donuts are all inside. and here’s your receipt. your latte will be ready in a minute. please wait by the counter.

店员：可以的。来，你的甜甜圈都装进去了。这是你的收据。拿铁等下就好了，请你在旁边稍等一下。

doreen: okay.

doreen：好。
