fiona has been in the us for a while now. however, she has been so busy studying that she hasn’t had time to do any sightseeing. seeing that it is the weekend, she decided to use the time to watch an nba game. after taking a bus to madison square garden in new york, she went to buy a ticket to the game between the new york knicks and houston rockets.

fiona来美国已经念了一阵子的书。但她忙著念书，从没有时间观光。今天她趁週末有空，想去看场美国职业篮球比赛，她搭车来到纽约的麦迪逊花园广场，準备观赏纽约尼克对上休士顿火箭队的比赛。

fiona: hi, i would like to buy a ticket.

fiona：妳好！我想要买一张门票。

ticket clerk: where do you want to sit? you can have a look at the seating chart.

柜台：妳想要坐哪一区呢？妳可以看一下座位图。

fiona: let me see…i want a seat in section b.

fiona：我想一下，那我想买b区的门票。

ticket clerk: i’m afraid the seats in section b are all sold out, and so are the ones in section a and c. if you want to sit in these sections, you need to book your ticket online at least two weeks before the game.

柜台：b区卖完了，a区跟c区也卖完囉！这几个区域若妳喜欢的话，最好比赛两週前上网订才订得到。

fiona: i see. i’ll get a section e ticket then.

fiona：这样呀！那我买e区的好了。

ticket clerk: sure. just one?

柜台：没问题。一张吗？

fiona: yes.

fiona：是的。

ticket clerk: you didn’t come here to watch jeremy lin play, did you?

柜台：妳该不会是来看林书豪的吧？

fiona: well, not just him. i happen to be free this weekend and it just so happens that the rockets are playing in new york. i’ve never been to an nba game before. this is my first time.

fiona：也不是特别来看他啦！只是刚好週末有空，又遇到火箭来纽约的比赛。我之前都没有看过nba的现场比赛呢！这可是我第一次。

ticket clerk: first time huh? it’s going to be a special day for you then!

柜来：第一次？那今天对妳来说，还挺有意义的呢！

fiona: yeah!

fiona：是呀！

ticket clerk: god i miss linsanity! new york was crazy back then!

柜台：我还真是怀念林来疯在这里时的光景。那时的纽约好疯狂呀！

fiona: really? too bad i didn’t come to the states until last year. otherwise, i would have been able to see how crazy it was.

fiona：真的吗？好可惜我去年才到美国，否则就可以见证那疯狂的时刻。

ticket clerk: ah well…anyway here’s your ticket! if you want any drinks or snacks, there are food stands. you’ll see them on your way in.

柜台：喔这样呀。来这是妳的票。想要饮料或点心的话，里面有食物摊贩，走进去就会看到了。

fiona: thank you!

fiona：谢谢妳！
