 Restaurant English – Greeting and Seating Customers

餐饮英文──招呼客人入座

It is 12 p.m. and a couple of customers have entered the Italian restaurant Venice.

中午12点，威尼斯义式餐厅有几位客人进门了。

Waitress: Good afternoon. Welcome to Venice.

服务生：午安！欢迎光临威尼斯。

Customer: Good afternoon.

客人：午安！

Waitress: Do you have a reservation?

服务生：请问您有订位吗？

Customer: No, we don’t.

客人：没有耶！

Waitress: That’s all right. How many people will be dining with you?

服务生：没关係。请问共有几位用餐呢？

Customer: Just us four.

客人：就我们这四位。

Waitress: Okay, please follow me.

服务生：好的，请跟我来。

The waitress takes the customers to their table and gives every customer a menu after everyone is seated.

服务生带位后，等待每个人都坐好位子后并递菜单给每位客人。

Waitress: This is our menu. Please have a look while I get you some water.

服务生：这是我们的菜单，请各位参考。我先为每位倒杯水。

Customer: Excuse me, is there a restroom here?

客人：不好意思，请问有洗手间吗？

Waitress: Yes, go to the end of this corridor, turn left, and you will see a sign.

服务生：您沿著这个走道到底，向左转后就会看到指示牌了。

Customer: Thank you.

客人：谢谢。

Waitress: You are welcome. I will leave you to take a look at the menu first and come back later to take your order.

服务生：不用客气。那你们先看一下菜单，我等会再帮你们点餐。

Customer: Okay.

客人：好的。
