玫瑰花和刺 The Rose and the Thorn

zài yī ɡè huā pén lǐ ，zhǒnɡ zhe yī zhū méi guī huā 。yǒu yī tiān ，tā kāi huā le ，

在一个花盆里，种着一株玫瑰花。有一天，它开花了，

室内顿时芳香四溢。主人看见了，立刻把玫瑰花夸奖

如果没有你来拖我的后腿，那么人们会更加喜爱我的。”刺

tīnɡ hòu ，xīn pínɡ qì hé dì duì méi guī shuō:“méi guī huā ā ，wǒ shēnɡ lái jiù shì

听后，心平气和地对玫瑰说 :“ 玫瑰花啊，我生来就是

刺，它一气之下离开了玫瑰。

In a flower pot grew a rose. The rose came into bloom one day and filled the room with its fragrance. Its owner noticed and said some complementary words. At these words, the rose became proud. It depises the thorn on its side and complained in a prentencious voice:”Disgusting thorn! I’m more beautiful than all other flowers. But because of you, people not even dare to touch me. Without you, I will be much more favored.” On this, the thorn said gentlely:”Oh, rose, I was born to protect you. How could say such words to me?” “I don’t need your protection. Your absence will only add to my beauty!” Rose’s reply agitate the thorn and it left in anger.

zhè shí ，yī ɡè nán hái kàn jiàn le zhè duǒ méi yǒu cì de méi guī ，tā zhāi le xià lái 。

这时，一个男孩看见了这朵没有刺的玫瑰，他摘了下来。

Just then a boy saw the thornless rose and picked it.

méi ɡuò jǐ tiān ，méi guī huā kū sǐ le 。

没过几天，玫瑰花枯死了。

In a few days, the rose withered.
