Nothing, however sharp it is, can pierce through it.” Then he took out a spear and claimed:” my spear is the sharpest in the world. Nothing, however strong, could stand its attack. Anything will be pierced as soon as it touches the spear.” He was very proud and exclaimed loudly:” come and look at the strongest shield and the sharpest spear!” Just then, an onlooker picked up a spear and a shield and asked:” what will happen if I thrust this shield with this spear?”

“这 ——”

“Eh…”

围观的人先都一楞，突然爆发出一阵大笑，便都散了。

那个卖兵器的人，灰溜溜地扛着矛和盾走了。

Other onlookers were first surprised, then burst into laughter and dispersed. The arm dealer also slipped away in shame.
