 (Business) Increase In Wearable Device Shipments Predicted

(商业) 预计可穿戴式装置的出货量会增加

According to the Industrial Economics and Knowledge Research Center (IEK), worldwide wearable device shipments are expected to see serious growth – up 499 percent to 190 million units in 2018 from 31.7 million units this year – as multifunction products debut in the market.

根据产业经济与趋势研究中心（IEK）指出，全世界的可穿戴式科技出货量预期将会大幅成长──从今年的3170万组于2018年提高到1.9亿组，上升了499%──因为多功能的产品首次出现在市场中。

Devices, such as smartwatches and smartglasses, are forecast to achieve such growth by senior IEK analysts, such as Hou Chun-yuan, partly because tech companies face lower technical barriers to entry. According to Hou, “Wearable devices will become the information and communication technology’s ICT next growth driver as demand for mobile devices, as well as traditional PCs, weakens.”

高阶分析师如侯钧元估计，智慧型手錶和智慧型眼镜此类装置预计会达到上述成长，部分原因是科技业的技术进入壁垒较低。根据侯钧元所说：「行动装置还有传统个人电脑的需求减弱时，可穿戴式科技将成为资讯及通讯科技接下来成长的推手。」

Smartglasses are expected to see more growth than smartwatches, which are currently used to monitor a person’s body during activities such as exercise. Smartglasses, on the other hand, have more “first-person point of view” applications, such as the taking of photographs and video application technologies.

智慧型眼镜预计会比智慧型手錶成长更多，现在使用智慧型手錶来监控人体活动，例如运动的时候。另一方面来说，智慧型眼镜则拥有更多「第一人称视角」的应用，像是拍摄照片、影片的应用科技。

Hou also predicts that many changes will take place in the wearable technology market, including solutions being found for low battery power, wearability, and the ability to display information to a person in a direct way.

侯钧元也预测可穿戴式科技的市场将会发生诸多改变，包括下列议题的解决方案：低电量、可穿戴性和直接将资讯显现给一个人的能力。
