Fiona has been working as a sales representative in the publishing industry for many years. She recently changed jobs and today was her first day at her new job. Her supervisor, Belinda, decided to have a short chat with her.
Belinda: Fiona, have a seat, please.
 Belinda:Fiona,
 Fiona: Thank you.
 Fiona:
Belinda: Welcome to the sales department. We’re going to be counting on you in the future!
 Belinda:
Fiona: Thank you for giving me the opportunity. Although I’m new to the company, I promise I’ll try my best and work hard.
Belinda: I’m glad to have you on our team. Since our goal this year is to increase our sales by 30 percent, I was hoping we could draw on your past experience and use the connections you’ve established in the field. Could you do a presentation tomorrow morning at 9:30 to share with the department the sales channels you have built and the approaches you intend to take in the future?
Fiona: Sure. Is there anything in particular that you want me to focus on?
 Fiona:
Belinda: It’d be good if you could spend more time talking about sales estimates and schedules. As for the approaches, you can just talk through them.
Fiona: Do I need to prepare a meeting agenda?
 Fiona:
Belinda: Yes, and please make twelve copies of it.
 Belinda:
Fiona: All right, I’ll get right on it.
 Fiona:
Belinda: Thanks, and sorry for throwing such a big task at you on your first day at work.
 Belinda:
 Fiona: It’s no problem.
 Fiona:
