 For many generations, Halloween has been a widely celebrated holiday. Ever since the introduction of costumes and spooky candies, children across America have eagerly looked forward to the annual event. But today, many Christians concern that Halloween does not bring glory to Jesus Christ, and have chosen to replace Halloween with a Harvest Day Party or activity. The holiday falls on October 31, the time that has signaled the end of the harvest season for hundreds of years. Harvest Day can include many activities like hayrides, pumpkin decorating or painting, face painting and pony rides. It's also fun to offer non-scary costume contests. Instead of "trick or treat", people throw a "trunk-or-treat" party in the church parking lot.They pass out candy or other treats from the trunk of their cars.
