in + 一小段时间

 

大家坐飞机时一定时常听到 We’re landing in 10 minutes. 我们都知道飞机大约再十分钟后要降落，但是究竟为何是用 in 呢？在英文中 “in 10 minutes” 指的是，指的是现在开始算起的十分钟后的那个时间点，是一个很精确的时间点。 用时间来举例的话，假设现在时间是 10:50 那么 “in 10 minutes” 指的大约是 10:58 到 11:02 的这段精确的时间。

 after + 一小段时间

 after 10 minutes 在中文裡一样是「十分钟之后」，但和 “in” 不同的是，after 10 minutes 指的是「在 10 分钟之后的任意时间点」。
