 所以说，人气就可以用popularity形容。过气

 

①no longer popular 这个最好理解了，过气就是不再有人气了嘛，好悲哀！

 This singer is discredited by the drug scandal and no longer popular.

酒井法子因为吸毒丑闻而名誉扫地。

 

 ②has-been 这是口语里的常用词，牛津词典是这么解释的：a person who in the past（在过去）

was famous, important, admired, or good at something, but is no longer（不再） any of these。

 所以，has-been也就翻译成“过气的名人，曾经红极一时的人物”。 例句：

That performer is a has-been.

那位演员曾经红过一阵子。
