关于新年的口语表达。

 

 1. Welcome the New Year 迎接新年

New Year’s Day is drawing near. 新年邻近了。

New Year’s Day is coming on the way! 新年就要来了！

New Year’s Day is (right) around the corner. 新年就要来了。

People are going to hold a celebration on New Year’s Eve. 人们将要在新年前夕举行庆祝活动。

Notes: 关于什么即将到来有很多种表达，例如之前介绍过的on the way, near at hand, around the corner，这里有个新的短语draw near，它表示靠近，邻近。

例如：

The Winter Holiday is drawing near. 寒假就快到了。

His car drew near and we should go. 他把车开过来了，我们该走了。

 hold a celebration表示举行庆祝活动，再例如：

Let’s hold a celebration to welcome the new year. 让我们举行个迎新年庆祝活动吧。

 

2. New Year’s Resolutions 新年愿望

New Year’s Eve is coming. Have you made your New Year’s Resolutions? 新年就要到了，你许下新年愿望了吗？

My top New Year’s resolution is making progress in language study. 我的头号新年愿望是在语言学习上有进步。

 May all your New Year’s resolutions/wishes come true. 祝愿你新的一年心想事成！

Notes: resolution在这里的意义为“决心，决定”；

New Year’s resolutions指“新年愿望”；

make New Year’s resolutions指“制定新年计划，许新年愿望”

再如： It’s New Year’s Eve. Let’s make several resolutions for the coming year. 明天就是新年了，让我们许下新年愿望吧！

 

3. Season’s Greetings 新年祝福

 Happy new year！ 新年快乐！

Best Wishes for the upcoming year. 新年一切都好！

Season’s Greetings to my dearest friends and families. 愿我的家人和朋友们新年快乐！

Wish you a very happy new year. 新年快乐！

May Happiness remain with you throughout the new year. 愿你的新年幸福满满！

Notes: upcoming是美式英语，表示即将到来和出现的。例如：

Students are preparing for the upcoming test. 学生在为即将到来的考试做准备。
