当我们问人们是如何定义爱的时候，很多人都表示这很难表达。但我们还是得到了一些很甜蜜的回答，一起来看看吧。

 

Romance

‘Romance’ 指的是两个人之间的浪漫情愫。 ‘

Their romance was short-lived.’ （他们的浪漫很短暂。）

‘Romance’ 也可以形容某人在特定事件或经历中体会的兴奋感觉。

‘Andy loves the romance of travelling on foot.’ （安迪喜欢徒步旅行带来的兴奋感。）

Affection Affection 指的是对某人或某地的喜爱之情。

‘I have a deep affection for this place.’ （我对这个地方有很深的喜爱之情。）

 

‘Show affection’ 意为通过肢体行动，如拥抱或者牵手表达你的爱意。

‘She is not very good at showing affection in public.’ （她不擅长在公共场合表达亲密关系。）

 

Woo ‘Woo’ 意为向……求爱。

‘He wooed her with flowers and chocolates from the day he met her.’（从见到她的第一天起，他就送给她鲜花和巧克力，向她求爱。） ‘Woo’ 是一个旧式的词语，现在更多被用于谈生意，意为寻求、讨好投资人、消费者甚至是投票人。

‘She wooed investors with the promise of huge returns in the first year.’ （她讨好投资人，并承诺会在第一年带回丰厚的回报。）

 

Desire 动词’

desire’意为很想得到某物。

‘I desire a good relationship.’ （我想有一段好的关系。）

‘The lodge had everything you could desire.’ （那个小屋有你可以想象到的所有东西。） ’desire’也可以是名词，指想要得到某物的强烈感觉。 ‘There is a strong desire to learn English in this community.’ （在这个团体里会有一种想要学英语的强烈感觉。） ‘My parents volunteer as they are motivated by a desire to help their community.’ （我的父母有强烈的意愿去帮助社区。）

 

 Flirt ‘Flirt’意为你在受到他人性吸引的情况下做出的一些行为或举动，相当于中文中‘调情’的意思。 ‘

It was so embarrassing to watch Adrian flirt with almost every woman in the room.’ （看着艾德里安和屋子里几乎所有女性调情是件非常尴尬的事情。）

‘After I introduced my friends they were flirting all night.’ （自从我介绍了朋友之后，他们整晚都在调情。）

‘Flirt’也可以用来形容很喜欢和他人调情的某人。

 

‘Be careful, she is such a flirt.’ （小心一点。她是一个很爱调情的人。）

‘I had a bad experience last week when I encountered a flirt in the hallway.’ （我上周在走廊遇到了一个喜欢卖弄风骚的人，感觉很不好。）
