M :  I just got a letter of resignation from the treasurer.
我刚刚收到了会计的辞呈。
 
F :  Effective from what date?
什么时候生效？
 
M :  Immediately.
立即生效。
 
M :  So now we're left without a treasurer.
所以我们现在没有会计了。
 
F :  Let's nominate George Moore.
咱们让乔治·摩尔来接吧。
 
M :  Do you think he'd serve?
你认为他会做吗？
 
F :  He said he'd be interested.
他说过他会感兴趣的。

 :  We're looking forward to your analysis of the e-commerce promotion.

M :  But we're running short on time.
但是时间可能不够。
 
F :  It should only take about half an hour to present.
大概只要半个小时就可以讲完了。
 
M :  Can you shorten it?
能缩短一点吗？
 
F :  I could omit the overseas section at this point.
我可以暂时把海外部分省略掉。
 
M :  All right.
好吧。
 
M :  We'll come back to that later.
那部分我们以后再谈。

M :  I'd like to call this meeting to order.
我想会议可以开始了。
 
M :  Is everybody here?
大家都来了吗？
 
F :  Mr. Moore is not here.
摩尔先生还没来。
 
M :  Oh. Well, we can't start without him, can we?
噢，嗯，没有他我们可能开不成，对吗？
 
F :  Not very well.
是不太好。
 
M :  Here he comes.
他来了。
 
M :  Now we can start.
现在我们可以开始了。
