F :  This is Linda.
我是琳达。
 
M :  Hi. Where are you now?
嗨。你现在在哪里？
 
F :  That's what I'm calling about.
我打电话就为这事。
 
F :  I'm not going to be able to go to your place.
我去不成了。
 
M :  No problem. But what's wrong?
没问题。有什么事吗？
 
F :  My boss asked me to work overtime.
我老板让我加班。
 
M :  OK, I understand.
明白了。
 
M :  How about changing our appointment to noon Friday?
我们改在星期五中午见面怎么样？
 
F :  Fine. See you then.

F :  Good morning, Rick. Are we still on for 11:30?

M :  No, I'm afraid I'm going to have to cancel our meeting.
不行，恐怕我得取消我们这次见面了。
 
F :  That's all right.
没关系。
 
F :  We can get together later in the week.

M :  I'm sorry about this, but something's come up.
我很抱歉，但是临时有点事情。
 
M :  And I've got to fly to Chicago.
我得搭飞机到芝加哥去出差。
 
F :  Don't worry about it.

F :  Just give me a call when you get back.
