Tom :  Why do I have to do this boring job?
我为何要做这种无聊的工作？
 
Linda :  What are you doing?
你在做什么？
 
Tom :  I'm making a graph.
我在制作图表。
 
Linda :  Where is your secretary?
你的秘书呢？
 
Tom :  She just quit the job today.
她今天辞职了。
 

商务英语对话2：发薪
Tom :  It's payday. Let's party.
今天是发薪日。我们去热闹一下吧。
 
Linda :  I have to work overtime today.
我今天得加班。
 
Tom :  Why?
为什么？
 
Linda :  You see that pile of papers on my desk?
看到我桌子上的一大堆文件了吗？
 

商务英语对话3：挂号信
Tom :  Do you think I should have it registered?
你看我该把它挂号吗？
 
Clerk(F) :  Yes, it will be safer.
是的，那样更安全些。
 
Tom :  Then I'd like to buy a registered envelope, please.
我想买一张挂号信封。
 
Clerk(F) :  That'll be eight cents.
一共八美分。
