日常英语对话1：看病

Tom : Better stay in bed for a day or two.
最好卧床休息一两天。

Mary : Can I have some cough medicine?
给我一些咳嗽药好吗？

Tom : Sure thing.
当然。

Mary : Are the medicines on the prescription antibiotics?
药方上的药都是抗生素吗？

Tom : No, some are herbal medicines.
不是，有些是草药。

日常英语对话2：看望病人

Mary : Hello, Tom. Are you feeling better?
你好，汤姆。好些了吗？

Tom : Oh, not too bad.
噢，还可以。

Mary : Well, I've brought you some chocolates.
我给你带了些巧克力。

Tom : Oh ... um ... the doctor said I can't eat anything sweet.

Mary : Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize.
